Movement, Music and Memory

Presented by

Chesna Closs

or

Long before written record keeping, storytelling was an important oral tradition used to pass down knowledge, wisdom, and life lessons from generation to generation. As a CultureALL Ambassador with a passion for brain health and fitness, Chesna draws on her multicultural background to present storytelling in a unique way that blends movement and music but with a modern twist.

In this workshop, participants will be encouraged to reminisce and share their favorite childhood tales and fables that was passed down in their families and cultures. Movement will be optional and will include low-impact dance, and chair-based modifications for all participants.

This workshop is designed for 55+ communities but can be customized for any age group and ability level.
