Susmita Das Sarkar was born in West Bengal and immigrated to Iowa with her husband and son. She works at the University of Iowa and is associated with Suchona (a Bengali cultural organization). She enjoys sharing Bengali culture and traditions, which she learnt while growing up in West Bengal (eastern part of India). Susmita enjoys art and crafts, gardening and reading. She loves to share her culture, the stories of West Bengal and history through CultureALL to the world.
