Anna Slobodianiuk was born in Odesa, Ukraine, on the coast of the Black Sea. She moved to the U.S. in 2022 after her American fiancé proposed the year before. A passionate traveler, Anna has visited over 17 countries and enjoys sharing her international experiences. While in school, she danced with a Ukrainian folk ensemble for 10 years, performing across Ukraine and abroad. She later spent 14 years teaching international students at a pedagogical university and also worked as a middle and high school teacher for 11 years. In addition, she led the Israeli Culture Center in Odesa. Since 2024, Anna has worked at DMACC as an Integrated Education and Training Management Consultant, helping employees from diverse industries build soft skills, improve literacy, and strengthen English proficiency. She shares her love for Ukrainian culture through cooking, singing, and playing the piano and ukulele. Anna lives in Ankeny with her husband and their miniature schnauzer, Chip.
