What can we learn from what a student carries in their backpack? In this interactive workshop, elementary students explore daily school life in Turkey through storytelling, real artifacts, language learning, and discussion. By unpacking a backpack item by item, students discover classroom traditions, school routines, and cultural values that shape a child’s experience in Turkey. Through comparison and reflection, participants recognize both the uniqueness of Turkish culture and the shared experiences that connect children across the world. This engaging session promotes curiosity, empathy, and appreciation for cultural diversity while highlighting the universal importance of education, family, and community.
