Throughout history, the perception of beauty was shaped by the values, beliefs, geography, and customs of one’s people. Today, exposure to beauty trends from around the world through social media, television, film, and fashion has inspired a blending of beauty ideals that reflect cross-cultural diversity while shaping modern standards of beauty. In this workshop, participants will explore how beauty is defined in their culture(s), and the rituals connected to it. This workshop is suitable for middle and high school participants.
