Step back in time to explore one family’s experience between the Oneida Indian Reservation in Wisconsin, the Carlisle Indian Industrial School, and the journey to return home. Amanda Cawthorn shares her family’s story of loss through residential schools, as well as resiliency and reclamation through language, dance, and connection. Participants will consider questions about the importance of community, the cost of assimilation, and the path toward reconciliation.
