Mexican Paper Flowers

Materials needed:

3 pieces of tissue paper per participant, any colors, size 23” x 6”

1 pipe cleaner

Instructions:

1. Stack the 3 pieces of paper, one on top of the next.

2. Accordion fold the stack of tissue like a paper fan. Start at one end of the papers. Fold a one inch crease, and follow that by another one inch crease in the opposite direction. Repeat this until the entire paper is folded.

3. Wrap a pipe cleaner around the center and twist it tightly.

4. Fan out the paper. Gently pull each layer upwards to the center of the tied pipe cleaner. Scrunch the tissue as you go.
