Reid Miller was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. When he was ten, his family moved to Shreveport, Louisiana. He grew up there, and as a young man moved to Madison, Wisconsin. Reid’s ancestors were Scottish and Irish. Both cultures are rich with storytelling. Reid loves stories. As a boy, he painted, acted, danced, and sang in school programs. He studied theater arts in college in Louisiana and Wisconsin. In Wisconsin, he worked as a puppeteer, actor, singer, dancer, teacher, and storyteller. Reid regularly performs in schools, libraries, theaters, and a host of other venues. His hobbies include bicycling, kayaking, walking, reading, writing, and creating whimsical visual and folk art with found objects and unusual media.
