Margery is a graduate of Indianola High School and has held a variety of positions throughout her life. She has worked at a Free School in New Mexico; worked in home healthcare on and off; substitute taught in the Des Moines area for twenty years; and many more. Even though Margery’s family heritage is not much different than other families who came and worked as farmers and laborers, Margery is proud of how her family worked together to share joy and happiness more than material means. A wise man once said, “Joy gives us wings! In times of joy our strength is more vital, our intellect keener, and our understanding less clouded. We seem better able to cope with the world and to find our sphere of usefulness.”
