Hanukkah is celebrated by Jewish people living all over the world. Important features of the “Festival of Lights” are the menorah, the game of dreidel, and food, such as latkes and jelly doughnuts. This lesson helps students understand how different people might celebrate the holidays during the same time as they do, but in a different way. They will learn about the story of Hanukkah, learn about the Menorah and candles, eat some treats, make a dreidle and play the dreidle game.
