Athraa is a native of Iraq, who came to the United States in 2013 to join her family. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer science from Al Mustan Syria University in Baghdad. Currently, she is working as a pharmacy technician in addition to her work as a CultureALL ambassador. Athraa has a passion for educating others about her Iraqi culture; she want to convey that the Iraqi people are a cheerful, life-loving people. She now resides in Grimes, Iowa with her husband and their son Elias. Athraa has a life-long interest in drawing.
